FAIRNESS IS THE STANDARD.
Evidence before verdict. A complaint is an allegation, not a finding. Commendations and comments receive the same provenance discipline. The subject of a complaint should have a reasonable right of reply before any adverse public conclusion.
Privacy by default. Submissions are private. No unreviewed personal allegations, contact details or attachments are published automatically. Do not submit sensitive information you do not have the right to share.
Independence and limits. COPO is a public-accountability initiative, not a statutory court, tribunal, emergency service, legal adviser or regulator. No adjudicative power is claimed. Urgent threats should be directed to the appropriate authorities.
Operational readiness. A submitted record is stored securely on this server if configured; case review and response times depend on an appointed human reviewer. No service-level deadline is promised. Access, retention, correction and deletion procedures must be adopted before public rollout.
